Haylee Clearwater's Home

Haylee Clearwaters Home is more of a shack then a house. It's very small, and beat up, as the family is very poor. Haylee likes the house though, as it holds alot of history.

Haylee sat at the kitchen table, tired after a long day of school. Her fingers clasped around her book bag as she rummaged through the contents searching for her homework which she planned to get down early so she wouldn't have to fret all day.

Sam Clearwater – 8-year old

Sam walked in, sitting beside his sister wordlessly not wanting to disturb her. He noticed her going through her bag and reached in plucking out the paper she needed with ease setting it neatly in front of her.

Thanks a bunch! Haylee said gratefully bringing out her pencil. Her brother was so quiet she doubted he woud reply. Some people thought her brother was stuck up because of this, but Haylee knew that her brother was just shy and cautious.

Sam nodded in reply, glancing at her paper. He was amazing with mathamatics and wished he had homework, something too occupy his mind. he wondered if his sister would mind him answering a few problems? He doubted she would as she had made it clear that she detested math. He gently pulled the pencil from her hand, and slid the paper over, filling in the first 2 answer in seconds, glancing up at his sister too make sure she wasn't mad.

Haylee glanced at her brother a bit surprised, but not in the least upset as she hated math. Haylee stood up, smiling at the look of concentration on Sams face, and went to get a glass of water.

Sam smiled in return pleased, and began to fill out the answers, trying to move slowly to make it last, double checking problems, though he didn't really need too as he never got a math problem wrong.

Rose ran in, after waking up from her nap. She ran over too her big sissy and hugged her leg tightly. "Cookie?" Rose asked hopefully, still not aware at her young age how tight money was.

Haylee smiled, amused wishing that she could give her little sister a cookie, but that was something the family just couldn't afford. "How about toast and jelly?" Haylee asked trying to make it sound like the best thing in the world and pull Rose's mind off cookies.

"Alright." Haylee laughed. She pulled out the bread, a can of jelly, and a bent up butter knife. She heated up the bread in the fireplace, carefully not wanting to burn it and then smothered on the jelly. She set the plate at the table on the opposite side of Sam so that Rose wouldn't get any jelly on the homework.

Sam hears the door, but doesn't move from his spot. He waits for Haylee too go get it. Not because he was lazy, but he didn't interact much with people. Sometimes Haylee or his father could draw a few words out, but he certaintly wasn't gonna go speaking too some stranger.
